Conference-wide Moving Day

Bishop Jonathan Holston has designated June 2820 as clergy moving day for clergy transferring to new appointments in the South Carolina Conference.

In The United Methodist Church, clergy appointments are made annually by the bishop, who has the responsibility for setting all the pastoral appointments in the conference. This unique system of assigning clergy dates back to John Wesley.

Walterboro District To Study “The Advantage”

The Walterboro District will launch the group study of “The Advantage” on August 3 at the 2017 Setup Meeting.

“Organizational health will one day surpass all other disciplines in business as the greatest opportunity for improvement and competitive advantage.”

Author Patrick Lencioni presents the argument that there is no better way to achieve profound improvement in an organization than by attacking the root causes of dysfunction, politics, and confusion. But rather than looking for answers in marketing, strategy, or technology, Lencioni encourages organizations to focus on becoming healthier.
